Habitat
Lions are mainly found in Africa but can also be seen in India and parts of Asia. They like the hot places like the Sahara in Africa and the dryer regions. Lions Live in groups called prides and find a place to live for the rest thir lives. The females are the ones that hunt while the male take care of the cubs.
African Lions
African lions are the lion you see most often. Males have gold fur, an orange or brownish black mane and females are pale gold or yellow and have darker tufts(the fur on the end of the tail).
Asian Lions
All lions look very similar but they've evolved to adapt to their home lands. The Asian lion is a good example. They have gold fur and a gold mane un like the African lion. This is because of the rich dirt in Asia. The lions have adapted to camoflauge themselves the hunt. Their eyes are also squinty to see around them further and to block the sun.
India's Lions
India's lions are just like African lions, but India's lions have much longer fur, especially their manes.
